About the Author
My name is Cynthia, and I started Yes & Amen Studies in North Georgia, where I live with my husband and our three kids. Since 2011, I’ve spent my time leading small groups at North Point Ministries—everything from hanging out with students to diving deep with women’s groups. My heart is simply to take those years of conversation and connection and turn them into resources that help your small group stay in the Word.
These Bible studies were created to fill a void in the available small group studies. I wanted something that wasn’t so homework intensive, but more fulfilling than a video study. Every few months, my co-leader and I would start looking for a new study and would bump into the same problems. Every study would have one or more issue: too much homework, no discussion questions, not enough Bible reading, too shallow, or videos that were distracting. So I started writing what we were looking for.
I wanted us to read the Word first, and not just single verses. I wanted our group to be reading whole chapters and books of the Bible. I wanted some teaching to happen in group. And lastly, I want the focus of group to be on discussion, because discipleship happens in conversations.
